Cayman Islands

Brad Walters is a destination wedding photographer who travels to exquisite locations like the Cayman Islands photographing his client's destination weddings.

The Cayman Islands is the destination for your wedding if you are an avid scuba diver or have always wanted to give scuba diving a shot, as it is widely recognized to be one of the best scuba spots on the globe. The islands consist of three separate islands called Grand Cayman which is the largest of the three, Little Cayman which is the smallest, and Cayman Brac.

There will be a substantial difference in the cost of your Cayman Islands destination wedding if you plan it during peak tourist season (mid-December through mid-April) as hotel rates are much higher. Not to mention the crowds will be substantially larger.

The weather on the Cayman Islands is a very typical tropical climate with an average temperature of 80°, and short but frequent afternoon showers.

Grand Cayman Island is where you will want to have your Cayman Island destination wedding, as the other two islands that form the Cayman Islands do not have the tourism industry that Grand Cayman Island does. Grand Cayman Island has an abundance of amenities and a well established, although small wedding industry to help plan destination weddings on the Cayman Islands. Destination wedding photographers do not appear to need a work permit to shoot weddings.

Noteworthy resorts on the Cayman Islands that cater to destination weddings, include the Grand Cayman Marriot Beach Resort and the Westin Casuarina Resort & Spa, Grand Cayman.

As with many destination wedding locations, there could be a number of resorts in the Cayman Islands that do not allow destination wedding photographers, so be sure to choose a resort that allows a destination wedding photographer for your Cayman Islands wedding. Contact our studio to be sure your venue is accommodating to destination wedding photographers. Utilizing a hotel photographer as your destination wedding photographer is highly discouraged, as often these employees are not trained photographers, and are not experienced wedding photographers, or with weddings.

A list of commonly known resorts that cater to destination weddings, but also disallow or actually charge high fees for allowing destination wedding photographers to serve their clients, include the Sandals Resorts (all locations), Breezes (all locations), Rooms On The Beach Resorts (all locations), Couples Resorts (all locations), Starfish Resorts (all locations)and the Grand Lido Resorts (all locations).
